I’m in this race because families and working people are being left behind by a system that was designed decades ago and hasn’t kept up with the realities of modern life. Let’s be honest, raising a family today is harder than it’s ever been. Retiring in Denver feels impossibly expensive, and working a minimum wage job just doesn’t cut it anymore.
I believe that we have an opportunity to take Colorado in a different direction than where the country is going. We have a chance to build a brigher future for all of us. So let’s take this opportunity and build something together!
-
Childcare should be affordable, high quality, and accessible to everyone.
No one should have to be on a daycare waiting list.
Daycare should not be the same price as a college tuition.
-
Everyone deserves paid time off and the law should guarantee it.
We need to get rid of the tipped minimum wage. It keeps workers earning less while working more.
We must strengthen laws against wage theft.
I will support our unions and work to reform the Labor Peace Act.
-
Too many houses in Colorado sit empty. We need to tax second and third homes owned by the richest to fund affordable housing.
We all lose when those at the top don’t pay their fair share. We need a graduated state income tax. This will help us pay for schools, and healthcare.
-
Teachers are forced to buy their own supplies and carry the burden of making education work. Colorado needs to fund every school.
60% of Colorado’s School Districts, 14% of the kids in the state, are open only 4 days per week. We need all of our schools funded so they can be open 5 days per week.

The Republicans decided you don’t deserve healthcare, but we don’t have to listen. Colorado should amend TABOR to cover the gap.
To secure our future, every child should have access to quality healthcare through Medicaid.
If we cannot depend on the Federal Government, we should remake our Medicaid with that in mind. We will not allow Republicans to hold the state hostage for their games.
